About
Hello everyone!
My name is Sasha. I am a multidisciplinary artist, mostly working with ceramics and illustrations. I love cats and dream of living in the forest one day.
I was born in Minsk, Belarus in 1989. For the half of my life I used to work as an architect, graduated with a Master's of Art degree in Architecture in 2018, but at the beginning of lockdown in march 2020 I decided to become a full-time artist. In 2022 I relocated to Warsaw, Poland, opened my studio there and started my life from scratch in Europe.
Thank you for supporting my art!
Idea Behind
I like to create things with my hands. Handmade ceramics (without molding and the potter's wheel etc.) is a long process. The manufacturing of the product takes up to two weeks. Different circumstances can affect the quality of the product during this period. This process brings patience and attention to the smallest detail. Even a gentle wind blow can cause an effect or ruin everything. Buildings, signs, traveling, song, anatomical shape, nature and other things inspire me to shape it in clay.
My project is called "89 degrees." 89° is almost the right angle. My ceramics have irregularities and roughness, but the it endless pursuit to perfect accuracy. After all, the world is imperfect, as we all are.
