Why is this cat vase legendary? Because I sculpted it in March 2023 — it was my first big project after opening my studio in Warsaw. It stayed in that form for a whole year, and in March 2024, I finally painted and glazed it.
Since then, I’ve been struggling with creative doubts — I couldn’t figure out how to properly present and photograph it, come up with a concept for a photoshoot… Yesterday I just snapped a video of it with my phone and now I’m showing it to you.
That’s it. The vase features 13 different cats — all inspired by real ones. Took around 40 hours to sculpt, make a cat face mold, paint every cat, glaze and sand.
Each peace is hand-built, hand-painted, hand-fired etc. by me. One of a kind. Small imperfections may occur due to 100% handmade work.
